Authorized by the Ministry of Public Health of China, initiated by Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, CITIC Group Ltd. of China and the American Mayo Medical Center, the 1st Asian-Pacific Summit on Emerging Healthcare Strategy is held ceremoniously in Grand Epoch City from May 27th - 29th, 2007, with more than 200 representatives attending this summit.
The former vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the academician, Wu Jie ping is appointed as the honorary chairman, the dean of the Ministry of Public Health of China Liu De pei, the executive director of the American Mayo Medical Center Richard Ehman and the director of CITIC Group Ltd. of China Kong Dan together as the chairmen, the vice-manager of CITIC Group Ltd. of China Li Shi lin as the chairman of the executive board. The vice-minister of the Ministry of Public Health of China, Jiang Zuo jun is present in the opening ceremony.
As the theme of ¡°Cooperation, Development¡±, the representatives do an all-directional communication from such three aspects as the policy of Medicare Reform, the modern hospital administration and application of new techniques. The summit invites 23 experts from the American Mayo Medical Center, Harvard University and the famous medicine academies and medical establishments in Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, and Canada. 12 Chinese high-level administrators, famous experts and scholars, from the preventive medicine area, clinical medicine area, medical research area and educational area, attend this summit and lecture, Such a giant all-star cast offers an opportunity for communicating, researching, cooperating from different aspects.
This summit is once more a significant international meeting after Grand Epoch City has held the 7th G-20 Finance Ministers and Center Bank Governors Meeting and the 1st Annual Meeting of the international Association of Anti-corruption Authorities.
